The Lisu Christian Church of Myanmar successfully organized a four-day youth training under the theme “Beautiful Young Life” at Aung Ni Lar Lisu Church, Mogok, bringing together more than 300 young people and youth leaders.
The four-day gathering created a meaningful space for young people to learn, share, worship, build friendships, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their faith. Participants reflected on how they can live a beautiful, meaningful, healthy, and responsible young life while contributing positively to their churches and communities.
An important part of the program was a women’s youth volleyball competition, which encouraged young women to participate actively in sports, teamwork, friendship, and healthy community life. Through sport, the young participants experienced the importance of teamwork, discipline, mutual respect, confidence, and physical wellbeing.
The training also included shared meals and fellowship, providing opportunities for participants to sit together, talk, build relationships, and care for one another. Eating together was not only about physical nourishment and health, but also about fellowship, community, friendship, and strengthening relationships among young people and leaders.
As an ecumenical youth movement, we believe that young people are not only the future of the Church they are an essential part of the Church today. Supporting young people means caring for their faith, mental and physical wellbeing, leadership, relationships, and future.
The “Beautiful Young Life” training in Mogok was therefore more than a four-day program. It was a celebration of faith, fellowship, learning, sport, health, leadership, and hope.
We give thanks to God for the Lisu Christian Church of Myanmar, Aung Ni Lar Lisu Church, youth leaders, trainers, volunteers, and all the young participants who made this meaningful gathering possible.
Together, let us walk with young people, listen to their voices, nurture their gifts, promote healthy lives, and build a beautiful future together.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers…”
